Mike, My condolences to your entire family. I remember when we were in high school and I went with you to visit Burns and Nancy one afternoon when their daughter was very small. I remember thinking how much Burns looked like your father, but more importantly I thought they were so very nice. I so enjoyed our visit with them that over 30 years later I remember it warmly even now. I am so very sorry for your loss. I hope your many memories and your family will bring you comfort in this difficult time. Kim

Ann, It is really hard to put into words how sorry I am to hear about your Dad. I know the feelings I had when my Mom was so sick and I know words can't describe it. Please know you and your family will be in my prayers. I hope the memory of your Dad lasts a lifetime in the lives of everyone he touched and is with you each and every day.

Our hearts go out to your family on this very sad occasion. Celebrate his life and the man he was; the lives he touched and the way he lived his own. Please accept our deepest sympathy.

It was an honor to serve on the DMGCC board under Burns. I truly looked up to him as my mentor, friend at the club. There is one word that I can use to describe him, a GENTLEMAN!

I met Burns when I first started at the Internal Revenue Service in 1991. He was remarkable not only professionally, but in how he dealt with his diabetes, and how he treated people. I will remember his zest for life, love of his family and hope to live my life in such a purposeful way. My sincere sympathies to his wife Nancy and the rest of his family and close friends. Burns will truly be missed.---a good friend of mine said "Burns was my mentor"..I think a lot of people lost a mentor over the weekend.

An outstanding attorney with great knowledge and with unbelivable heart for his clients. Also, a friend (with whom I could strongly disagree and yet completly respect and admire). It will take a good deal of time to get over this loss for all of us that knew him.

Dear Nancy, Ann and all the Mossman families,
There is a sacredness in tears. They are not the mark of weakness, but of power. They speak more eloquently than 10,000 tongues. They are the messengers of both overwhelming grief, and the joy of remembering Burns' life has been lived fully with you. Your tears are of relief and unspeakable love. Let them come.
We are remembering today, with gratefulness, you, your dear Burns, and his mother Becky.
God Bless and Be With You All,

Dear Mossman family,
I was saddened to hear of Burns' passing. I am fortunate I got to meet all of the Mossman "boys" at the time of Becky's death. It was so comforting to see how close they were and how each of them helped the others and Keith at that time. You have an amazing family, and I hope the strength and love you all have for each other will help you through this difficult time. I also hope the Mossman sense of humor is maintained, as we really enjoyed the family stories you shared with us -- Burns' stories in particular.
May the grace and peace of our Lord surround you at this time.
Sincerely,
Gail Zea
