I never had the pleasure to meet Mark in person, but, always enjoyed his humor and dedication to agriculture as I watched him weekly on Market to Market. Our thoughts & prayers are with Mark's family.

I will miss seeing Mark on Market to Market. I see we share the same birthday, how great was that!

We only knew Mark from Market to Market which we rarely missed every Sunday afternoon here in OHio. We were so saddened to hear of his sudden passing. The AgriBusiness world has lost a Giant! Mrs. Pearson & all your family, you are in our deepest thoughts & continued prayers for strength & comfort through this very sad time. May God undergird, strengthen and comfort all of your hearts as only He can do.

I never met Mark in person but loved his company,wit and humour every weekday on The Big Show. He will be greatly missed.

I am so sorry for your loss. Mark made so very proud to be an Iowa farm girl. I learned so much from him and his wit and humor always made me laugh. His "farm stories" brought back wonderful memories for me!

Please know my heart goes out to you with my deepest condolences to you all. Each time I would see Mark on the streets of Winterset, his smile was such a treat, and a little teasing comment always, always followed. I thought of him as one of the 'lights' around our town, one of the people who always make you feel good when you cross paths. I am so very sorry for your profound loss. Friendly, witty, exceptionally knowledgeable and intelligent, Mark leaves a huge void in agricultural broadcasting and with friends and listeners coast to coast, border to border and then some. My heartfelt sympathy to his family. Ray Johnson WHO-TV 1965-87.

I never met Mark, but he has been a steady presence in my life for decades. Growing up on a farm in Iowa, every Friday night at 8 everyone had to be quiet so Dad could hear Mark on Market to Market. And when I grew up and moved out of state, I still had to figure out how Dad could get the video or transcript of M2M every time he visited. So for all the Friday nights when Mark was a part of our family, I toast the life and legacy of this interesting and talented man.

Dear Eden, Mike, Katie, Betsy, and Ellie,
Our hearts and prayers are with you. We love your family and enjoyed Mark so much! He was so proud of his kids! We can't imagine the loss you are experiencing but know you had a gift as having Mark as your husband and father! He will live on in all of you through his memories and what he taught you. May God hold you close and watch over you, just as he is doing the same for Mark. Our love and sympathy goes out to you.

Mark was such a wonderful, caring, energetic and humorous person. I always looked forward to seeing him on the Great Iowa Tractor Ride and our conversations on the importance of education and investing. His encourgagement and direction were the reasons I got back into farming; I will always be grateful.

Your family and Mark will be in our thoughts and prayers.
