E. Lucile Steinmetz, 84, died Sunday, June 20, 2010 at her home in Des Moines. A private family service will be held at a later date.
Lucile was born March 19, 1926 in Le Mars, Iowa to George and Edith Huxtable. She was a graduate of Central High School in Sioux City and had attended college. On November 23, 1963 she married Charles Steinmetz. Lucile was a member of PEO for over 50 years and enjoyed traveling around the world. She was loved by all who knew her.
Survivors include her children: Sharyn (Bob) Brown of Los Angeles, CA, Deborah Steinmetz, Lisa Steinmetz both of Des Moines, Carl (Yukiko) Steinmetz of Louisville, KY; 8 grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren; one great great grandchild; and her sister, Elizabeth Still of Hemet, CA. Lucile was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and her sister, Rosemary Deming.
