Lois Keeler Murrow, 93, passed away Saturday, May 1, 2010 at Walnut Ridge Senior Campus in Clive, Iowa. At her request, cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be held 11:00 a.m., Friday, July 30, at First Christian Church in Des Moines.
Lois Keeler was born, May 12, 1916 in Weldon, Iowa, the daughter of Bert and Della (Hall) Keeler. She lived most of her adult life in Des Moines. Lois received her B.A. from Drake University. She was a retired teacher with the Des Moines Public Schools. Lois was a Lifetime Member of the National Education Association and a member of the Iowa State Education Association, National Association of University Women, Chapter HY of P.E.O. and the First Christian Church.
Lois was married to Cecil R. Murrow who preceded her in death. She is survived by her sons, Charles Murrow of De Soto, Iowa and Captain John K. Murrow, Fed Ex Ret. and his wife Susan of Germantown, Tennessee; brother, Wayne Keeler of Weldon, Iowa and grandchildren, John Murrow and Sarah Murrow both of Tampa, Florida.
